Ty's Take

Three people drowned in Missouri over the weekend, and one more nearly didn't make it. That's the kind of statistic that tends to blur together in a news cycle until you remember these are somebody's neighbors, somebody's kids, somebody's last Saturday afternoon. The water around here looks the same whether it's August or February, and it kills just as easy in either season. If you've got a boat, a dock, or a family that swims, you already know the rules. If you don't, this is the week to learn them, because the season doesn't stop just because the temperature drops.
