Ty's Take
Lebanon's got its eye on the future this week, and that shows up in two different ways. The city council's move to rebrand the golf course signals what a lot of towns our size are doing, trying to freshen up public spaces and maybe draw some new traffic down the fairways. Meanwhile, over at Missouri State, the alumni are doing what they've always done, sending the next class off right and keeping that pipeline of talent and connection running back to Laclede County. Neither story breaks new ground, but both of them say something about a crossroads town that still believes in its institutions and isn't shy about updating them when the time comes. That's the work of a place that plans to stick around.
