Sarah Lohmeier's new novel hits shelves this week, and if you grew up here in Rolla you already know the real story isn't just that she finished the thing. It's that she's one of ours who made it stick long enough to see it through, which anybody who's sat down to write knows is the harder half. The engineering students at S&T will tell you that finishing the design matters more than the inspiration, and Lohmeier's done both. Worth picking up a copy just to read what she saw in this place worth writing down.
